A Life Changing Opportunity

The Blue Coat School, Birmingham, was founded as a Charity School in 1722.

To this day we continue to financially support children to attend The Blue Coat School with Bursaries of up to 100% of school fees. These are awarded each year to children entering Year 3 in September.

“BCS is a family taking the child under its protective blue coat, it fills them with hope and opens the windows of opportunity. I can never thank you all enough for the support and care you've shown us. It's been a magical time for Georgina and every child should get the chance to open those gates.” Bursary Parent
“The bursary award has opened up some amazing opportunities that Noah couldn't have had in other places in terms of the great facilities that the school offers, fantastic teachers and the extra curricular enrichment.” Bursary Parent
“The bursary award allowed my daughter to gain access to sports such as hockey with the use of a fantastic astro turf, fencing and swimming facilities just to name a few. This early exposure to a variety of sports has instilled in her the importance of teamwork, leadership, communication and listening skills and most importantly her enjoyment of sport.” Bursary Parent
“I cannot thank Blue Coat enough for the opportunities the school has given to us in preparing my daughter for the 11+ exams and life beyond Blue Coat. This past year has shown how resilient the School is, with the pupils’ mental health and physical wellbeing at the forefront in whatever the School plans.” Bursary Parent
“Jack comes out of school with a smile on his face and a spring in his step, and he is loving Blue Coat life! I know he is loving the challenge and variety of his school days. Blue Coat will bring out the best in Jack, and I am so very grateful for the opportunity the School has given him.” Bursary Parent
“I have found that all staff go above and beyond to help the children achieve whilst ensuring that their wellbeing and happiness are at the forefront. The facilities at Blue Coat are second to none and Milo has had opportunities which he would never have had otherwise and for that I will be eternally grateful. I only wish he could stay at Blue Coat past Year 6!” Bursary Parent
“The facilities for IT, Art and access to such a vast range of books in the Library has really helped our son’s confidence in believing he can achieve great things. His attitude towards school has changed since joining The Blue Coat School and this is reflected through the way he comes across to all family and friends; this is a great reflection on the school and staff.” Bursary Parent
“Blue Coat was the best option to bring out the best in our daughter. She was rewarded with a bursary in Year 3 and is still reaping the benefits of it. Academically she is much brighter, confident and most of all loving each moment she is spending at school.” Bursary Parent
